Using Less Stuff (Gas 1)

Below is a list of methods that will help reduce consumption of gas in your school:

• Modify the school’s heating settings. Set the classrooms to 18°C, corridors and sport areas to 15°C and housing areas at 21°C.
• Use timers on kitchen equipment so ovens are heated just before they’re used.
• Set the pool heat to 28°C and the pool room temperature at 29°C.
• Service the school’s heating plant.
• Seal all roofs, glazing, skirting against draughts.
