Recording

You can’t manage what you don’t measure. key to the success of changing behaviour across school will be information. people need see how they are doing as individuals and a collective has an impact on school. by being able physically results it motivate keep up that same level integrity or work even harder than before.

Think of it like a school report, a pupil achieved ‘Good’ for their effort in Science during the first term. When the student received their results after the second term they now achieved ‘Excellent.’ By recording this information in the first term it motivated the student to work harder resulting in a positive outcome. Recording both results and comparing the student will have felt a sense of pride in bettering themselves. This works the same way for The Using Less Stuff Programme however on a much larger scale.

Now you need to know how to record the data. On the materials section from this lesson you will find an Excel Spreadsheet Template ‘Recording Data’ that you can download and fill in the blanks. We’ve even included an example Spreadsheet so it’s all laid out for you.

Monitoring System

The monitoring system that you will have received as part of signing up actually allows reports to be scheduled and delivered automatically to users (it couldn’t be much simpler than that)!
